MIRET conducts a Consultative Workshop for Postgraduate Students and Supervisors

MIRET conducted a Consultative Workshop for Postgraduate Students and Supervisors in Kisumu on on 27th and 28th April 2023.

All the Students who secured a place at Moi University for the Credit Seeking mobility Scholarship took part in the workshop. The Masters and Doctorate students were able to discuss in detail about their progress so far in their areas of research and highlighted some of the challenges they encountered.The supervisors who were present at the workshop also took turns to addressed some of the challenges highlighted by the students and adviced them on how best to carry out their research within the stipulated time.

The Workshop organizers had organized for an excursion tour for the international students. After the indoor workshop, the students who are non Kenyans got the opportunity to tour Kisumu county visiting the Impala Park and Lake Victoria where they went for boat riding. Before embarking on the journey back to Eldoret, they were treated to a sumptuos meal of Ugali and fish at the lakeside city. The international students come from various countries within the African continent namely Tanzania, Cameroon, Rwanda, etc
