The Intra-Africa Academic Mobility programme aims to promote sustainable development and ultimately contribute to poverty reduction by increasing the availability of trained and qualified high-level professional manpower in Africa.

" During my exchange program at the University of Zambia, I had the privilege of working on a project focused on integrating PV power plants into the electrical grid, collaborating with experts from ZESCO to deepen my knowledge of power systems and master tools like DIgSILENT PowerFactory for electrical network modeling and simulation. I also gained hands-on experience in the renewable energy lab, working with solar collectors, PV panels, and biomass, which allowed me to apply my strong theoretical background to practical experiments. This experience not only enriched my skills but also earned me a grant to attend the Youth Energy Summit in Kenya. I am deeply grateful for the Intra Africa scholarship, which was a dream come true and a pivotal step in advancing my career as a future engineer."
I am deeply grateful to the Mobility for Innovative Renewable Energy Technologies (MIRET) project and the European Union for funding my Ph.D. in Energy Studies at Moi University. This program has equipped me with essential skills for both the renewable and traditional energy industries. I extend my heartfelt thanks to my supervisors, the MIRET team, and everyone who supported me throughout my studies from 2021 to 2023. With their support, I successfully obtained my Doctor of Philosophy degree in Energy Studies.
